Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are advertisements. Here is what that means, and why it never changes which meetings and resources we list.

It never affects what we list

Meetings, intergroups, and recovery resources are listed on their merits and on the data we aggregate from official AA sources, never because anyone paid to appear, and never removed because they did not. Advertising is kept separate from the directory itself and is clearly labelled as advertising.

The short version

The AA Directory is a free meeting finder. Running and maintaining it costs money, and a small part of that is offset by advertising. Some links and images on the site are advertisements placed through affiliate programs. If you click one and then sign up or make a purchase, we may earn a commission. It does not cost you anything extra.

An advertisement is not a recommendation

Advertisers are separate companies, and we are not responsible for any advertiser, its products or services, the claims it makes, or anything it offers or recommends. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are solely between you and that company. Please review their terms and decide for yourself whether what they offer is right for you.

How affiliate links are marked

Affiliate links carry a rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, the standard signal to search engines that a link is a paid placement. Many are routed through a short on-site redirect so the destination stays clean and the click can be counted; the redirect simply forwards you to the advertiser. Ordinary, non-commercial links in our content are plain links and carry no such tag.

Amazon Associates

Some of the resource articles on this site link to A.A., N.A., and other recovery-related books on Amazon, as part of the Amazon Associates program. The AA Directory may earn a small commission on purchases made through them, at no extra cost to you. The books we link to are the ones already mentioned in the article's prose, in context. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

FTC compliance

This disclosure exists to comply with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and affiliate relationships. If anything here is unclear, ask us through the contact page and we will answer plainly.

No advertiser has ever decided which meetings appear here, and none ever will.
