Violate the anonymity and privacy principles of Alcoholics Anonymous
Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content through the Service

Data Protection: All content, meeting information, and data on this Service are protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorized extraction, scraping, or copying of our data is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

3. Intellectual Property and Data Protection

Database Rights: Our meeting database represents a substantial investment of time, effort, and resources. The compilation, selection, coordination, and arrangement of meeting information constitutes a copyrightable work and proprietary database. You are prohibited from extracting, reproducing, or reutilizing all or a substantial part of our database.

License Grant: We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Service solely for your personal, non-commercial use in finding AA meetings. This license does not permit you to download, store, reproduce, or redistribute any content or data from the Service.

4. Copyright and Data Misuse Enforcement

We actively monitor for unauthorized use of our content and data. If you believe someone has copied your work or if we detect unauthorized scraping, copying, or redistribution of our content, we will take appropriate action including:

7. Meeting Provider Independence and Liability Disclaimer

NOT AFFILIATED WITH MEETING PROVIDERS: The AA Directory and https://theaadirectory.com/ are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of the meeting providers, AA groups, organizations, venues, or individuals that organize or host the meetings listed on our site. We are an independent third-party directory service that aggregates publicly available meeting information.

INFORMATION PROVIDER ONLY: We provide publicly available information from meeting organizers on our site solely to connect users with recovery resources. We do not organize, sponsor, control, or have any responsibility for the meetings themselves, their content, participants, or any activities that occur at these meetings.

NO LIABILITY FOR MEETINGS: We are not liable for anything that happens at meetings found through our directory, including but not limited to: personal injury, property damage, emotional distress, harassment, discrimination, or any other harm or damages. We are not responsible for the conduct of meeting participants, organizers, or venue operators.

USER RESPONSIBILITY: By using our Service to find and contact meetings, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk and discretion. You are responsible for verifying meeting information, evaluating the suitability of meetings for your needs, and ensuring your own safety when attending meetings or contacting meeting organizers.

8. Payment and Donation Services Disclaimer

INFORMATION DISPLAY ONLY: The AA Directory provides payment and donation information (including but not limited to Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, and other payment service details) solely as a convenience to users who wish to support individual AA meeting groups. We act exclusively as an information aggregator and display service. We do NOT process, facilitate, handle, or have any involvement whatsoever in any payment or donation transactions.

THIRD-PARTY PAYMENT SERVICES: All payment and donation transactions occur directly between you and the individual meeting groups through third-party payment platforms (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, etc.). We have no control over, responsibility for, or involvement in these transactions. These third-party payment services have their own terms of service, privacy policies, and dispute resolution procedures.

NO LIABILITY FOR PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS: THE AA DIRECTORY AND HTTPS://THEAADIRECTORY.COM/ EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY AND ALL PAYMENT OR DONATION TRANSACTIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Incorrect, outdated, or fraudulent payment information displayed on our Service
Payments sent to wrong recipients, incorrect accounts, or fraudulent actors
Unauthorized charges, fraudulent transactions, or identity theft
Disputes between donors and meeting groups regarding payments or refunds
Misuse of donated funds by meeting groups or individuals

USER VERIFICATION REQUIRED: You are solely responsible for verifying all payment information before making any contribution. We strongly recommend contacting the meeting group directly to verify payment information before sending any funds.

NO REFUNDS OR DISPUTE RESOLUTION: We do not provide refunds, mediate disputes, or assist with payment-related issues. All payment disputes must be resolved directly between you and the recipient through the applicable third-party payment service's dispute resolution process. We cannot and will not intervene in payment disputes.

NO ENDORSEMENT OR GUARANTEE: The display of payment information does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any meeting group's legitimacy, trustworthiness, or proper use of funds. We do not verify, validate, or monitor how donated funds are used by meeting groups.

ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SERVICE IS DONE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK AND YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OF ANY SUCH MATERIAL.

ANY RELIANCE ON MEETING INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE
ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES EVEN IF THE AA DIRECTORY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

12. Enhanced Indemnification

COMPREHENSIVE INDEMNIFICATION: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The AA Directory and https://theaadirectory.com/, its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, partners, licensors, and contractors from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

Your use of the Service or violation of these Terms
Your attendance at meetings found through our directory
Any contact, communication, or interaction with meeting organizers, participants, or venue operators
Any incidents, injuries, harassment, disputes, or harm occurring at meetings you found through our Service
Any unauthorized scraping, copying, or extraction of our data or content
Your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property rights
Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
Any content you submit or make available through the Service
Your misuse of meeting information or contact details obtained through the Service
Any claims that your use of the Service caused harm to a third party

This indemnification obligation will survive termination of your access to the Service and these Terms.

13. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Binding Arbitration: Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any such controversy or claim shall be arbitrated on an individual basis, and shall not be consolidated in any arbitration with any claim or controversy of any other party.

Location: The arbitration shall be conducted in the United States, and judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any arbitration or legal proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between us and you individually. You will not seek to have any dispute heard as a class action, representative action, collective action, or private attorney general action.

You agree that regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to use of the Service or these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose or be forever barred.
